HOW IS THE TREATMENT PERFORMED?

The finest quality equipment is used and needles are individually packed in sterile Blister packets- the needles are disposed of after each treatment in a Sharps container – EACH CLIENT HAS A NEW NEEDLE, NEW MACHINE PARTS AND NEW PRODUCT. Using the manual method, the needles are wrapped with cotton in a Bamboo stick, exposing only a tiny needle tip, autoclaved in sterile packets then the colour is gently pricked into the skin. The machine works on the same principle, but faster. Any instrument used that is not disposable is AUTOCLAVED, the same sterilising procedure that is used by hospitals.

WHAT ARE THE PIGMENTS?

They are of vegetable origin, the fine coloured powder is mixed in a stabilised solution keeping it liquid. There are many colours available.
Note: colours can vary slightly from person to person as every individual has different natural skin pigments. The skins natural pigment also determines how well or how long a person holds on to the pigment.

IS IT LIKE A TATTOO?

It is basically the same process, the difference being that the insertion is only into the dermal layer of skin and is not as deep also the colour pigment is semi-permanent.

WHAT DOES IT LOOK LIKE ON THE SKIN?

DOES IT HURT?

Everyone has a different level of tolerance to pain. Some clients, prior to treatment, take a pain reliever tablet. For lipline and full lip an anaesthetic injection from the dentist can be used for a painless treatment.

IS THERE ANY SWELLING?

Swelling is minimal and not noticeable to anyone. The swelling of the lips disappears within ½ hour of completing the treatment if a dental injection is not used. If the client has had a dental block, swelling could last for approximately 2 hours and the full lips will last longer. The eyebrows will feel a little tender and some clients have had a little puffiness depending on the age of the client. The eyeliner treatment can cause slight puffiness giving the appearance that you have been crying. This puffiness only lasts for a short time. Each person responds differently.

IS IT COMPLETED IN ONE TREATMENT?

Yes, and each treatment takes a variety of time. Sometimes after the healing process, a slight gap in one small spot may appear, if so, you will need to come back in approximately 3-6 weeks and have it filled. This service is free of charge.
